Conveniently all three\u00a0are of African descent which should add a healthy slice of authenticity to the characters they will embody.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/2012\/05\/22\/chimamanda-adichies-prize-winning-novel-gets-the-star-treatment\/images-7\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3010\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3010\" title=\"images\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But there is also a good dose of locally grown fresh faces and veterans, who are more than ready to hold their own; <strong>John Boyega<\/strong>, who made quite a splash in the movie <strong>Attack the Block<\/strong> , Nollywood It Girl <strong>Genevieve Nnaji<\/strong>, iconic pop star and actress <strong>Onyeka Onwenu<\/strong>, and legendary actor <strong>Zack Orji.<\/strong> Actress <strong>Anika Noni Rose<\/strong> who was last seen in HBO\u2019s now defunct The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency also joins the cast playing a pivotal role opposite Newton.<\/p>\n<p>The film adaptation is courtesy of another well respected scribe; playwright and novelist <strong>Biyi Bandele<\/strong>, who until now made the theater his home. It will be produced by British based filmmakers Andrea Calderwood and Gail Egan.<\/p>\n<p>The film will no doubt play up the antics of a sweeping love story intertwined with threads of glamour, wealth and tragedy. Both Newton and Rose play twins raised in an upper-class Nigerian family who after receiving a prestigious English education return to their country and find an independent Nigeria struggling with tribal tensions that eventually heightens and leads to a civil war.
