Creed<\/em> star Michael B. Jordan doesn\u2019t have to wait long to recreate magic with recent and past collaborator – Ryan Coogler.<\/p>\n

It has been confirmed that Jordan will be joining the cast of Black Panther<\/em> \u2013 starring Chadwick Boseman in the title role. Oscar-winner Luptia Nyong\u2019o is currently in talks to be his co-star.<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s addition is the third time the actor has worked with Coogler who first directed him in the sleeper hit Fruitvale Station<\/em>. The two of them came back together for last year\u2019s critically acclaimed installment to the Rocky movie franchise \u2013 Creed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Black Panther<\/em> \u2013 which is scheduled to debut in theaters Feb. 16, 2018 \u2013 had its superhero introduction via this spring’s major blockbuster – Captain America: Civil War<\/em> where Boseman portrayed the character T\u2019Challa who is of African origin and rules the fictional kingdom of Wakanda \u2013 a province that overflows with the indestructible and valuable gem \u2013 known as vibranium.<\/p>\n

With Coogler at the helm \u2013 there is no doubt that this time around \u2013 Jordan\u2019s second foray into the superhero genre will be greeted with a much better reception \u2013 considering last year\u2019s disastrous reboot of Fantastic Four<\/em> that tanked at the box office. Jordan played the role of Johnny Storm\/The Human Torch in Fox\u2019s failed revival.<\/p>\n

Aside from Panther<\/em> – Jordan is also hoping to produce and star in a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair. <\/em>Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway starred in the 1968 feature about a wealthy ladies man who steals valuable art as a hobby and ends up in a game of cat-and-mouse with a sexy no-nonsense detective – tasked with tracking him down.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
