This latest offering has expectedly given a lot of people quite a bit to fret about.<\/p>\n<p>Some have referred to the assumingly creepy option as \u201cdigital blackface\u201d and despite the mighty uproar that has erupted \u2013 Snapchat has yet to issue an apology \u2013 preferring instead to give a statement confirming why the filter was such a nifty idea:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The lens we launched today was created in partnership with the Bob Marley Estate, and gives people a new way to share their appreciation for Bob Marley and his music.
