Awards season is heating up and as the year comes to an end \u2013 the industry is gearing up for another round of non-stop festivities.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Globes and the Oscars are great and all but when it comes down to it \u2013 the voice of the people is what truly matters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/lot_page.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14251\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/lot_page.jpg\" alt=\"lot_page\" width=\"465\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/lot_page.jpg 465w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/lot_page-300x310.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why The People\u2019s Choice Awards holds a special place in the hearts of entertainers who give their all to ensure that only the very best is delivered to their loyal fans.<\/p>\n<p>The nominations were announced on Tuesday at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles, and in true fashion it was a vibrant mix of talent from across the board \u2013 spanning generations and merging the endearing old timers with the capable newbies.<\/p>\n<p><em>Furious 7<\/em> is proving to be a a force to reckon with after garnering the Blockbuster award at the Hollywood Film Awards this past Sunday. The seventh installment in the lucratively thriving franchise is up for &#8220;Favorite Movie&#8221; &#8220;Favorite Action Movie&#8221; and &#8220;Favorite Action Star&#8221; for Vin Diesel.<\/p>\n<p>It is highly likely that after demolishing the box office and shattering records worldwide \u2013 <em>Furious 7<\/em> is poised to score wins in the movie categories especially since the road to the finish line was paved with blood, sweat and tears given the fact that Paul Walker who played good cop gone bad, Brian O\u2019Connor tragically died in a car crash in the middle of filming back in 2013. Most of the film\u2019s success is attributed to Walker\u2019s memory and there is no better way to honor the late actor than to make <em>Furious 7<\/em> the gift that keeps on giving.<\/p>\n<p>Dwayne Johnson who is also a valued member of the Fast Family is up against fellow cast member Vin Diesel in the Favorite Action Movie Actor category. It is safe to say that he will walk away this one. His rising popularity and down-to-earth persona will surely work in his favor. He is also up for \u201cFavorite Cable TV Actor\u201d and \u201cFavorite Social Media Celebrity\u201d. He will probably win all three!<\/p>\n<p>Madonna is back in the swing of things after the release of her latest effort, <em>Rebel Heart<\/em>, and after weathering a storm of controversy she is being bequeathed with two nominations &#8211; \u2018\u201dFavorite Music Icon\u201d which she shares with Prince, Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler and Stevie Wonder and \u201cFavorite Female Artist\u201d \u2013 which tosses her in the company of a much younger crew, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Lana Del Ray. It is safe to say that America\u2019s Sweetheart \u2013 Taylor Swift will charm her way to victory. But Madonna and Paul McCartney will have to duke it out for the \u201cIcon\u201d prize.
