But producing a worthy story that captures the complexities of an iconic genius proved to be an easier feat compared to the casting process.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/denzel-washington.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14222\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/denzel-washington.jpg\" alt=\"Denzel Washington\" width=\"550\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/denzel-washington.jpg 550w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/denzel-washington-300x213.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After a slew of A-listers including Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio turned down the high-profile role \u2013 it was German-Irish actor Michael Fassbender who stepped up to the plate and accepted the challenge of a portraying the man who co-founded the global empire known as Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Once the news of Fassbender\u2019s casting was official, many were concerned with the fact that he looks nothing like Steve Jobs but Sorkin wasn\u2019t prepared to allow that realization overshadow the qualifications of the immensely talented leading man.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking at the Sirius XM Town Hall, the scribe responsible for <em>The West Wing<\/em>, expressed how and why Fassbender\u2019s physicality was a non-issue, \u201cI know that when [Fassbender\u2019s] casting was announced there was some bewilderment because he does not look anything like Steve Jobs\u201d. \u201cBut the script doesn\u2019t ask anybody to do a physical impersonation of the character that they\u2019re playing, especially not Steve\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sorkin went even further by declaring that actor Denzel Washington would have been perfect for the role if he had been younger. \u201cIf he were a little bit younger, Denzel [Washington] would have been a great choice in this part\u201d. \u201cThe physical resemblance doesn\u2019t matter. Being an actor with serious chops matters. Having game matters \u2013 and Michael does\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like studio execs and casting directors could learn a thing or two from Sorkin<\/p>\n<!-- google_ad_section_end
