It has been confirmed by multiple outlets that Washington will in fact helm episode nine of <em>Grey\u2019s Anatomy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/BzTP5VeIMAAakR2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14157\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/BzTP5VeIMAAakR2.jpg\" alt=\"BzTP5VeIMAAakR2\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/BzTP5VeIMAAakR2.jpg 600w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/BzTP5VeIMAAakR2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Viola Davis posted this pic on Twitter last year &#8211; of Washington during a table read of <em>HTGAWM<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is the hit show\u2019s 12<sup>th<\/sup> season and as surprising as it may be to have Washington helming one of the episodes \u2013 he does have a longstanding relationship with one of the series\u2019 executive producers \u2013 Debbie Allen, who has also directed more than a handful of episodes on all the shows that have been enviably regulated to the TGIT roster.<\/p>\n<p>Allen\u2019s influence also gives her the power to hire other women directors, which undoubtedly helps to bridge the gap when it comes to diversity and hiring practices in an industry that still refuses to succumb to the inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>Washington is definitely not a woman or a rookie but we\u2019re sure he will relish the opportunity to leave his stamp on one of the hottest shows on TV.
