{"id":14140,"date":"2015-10-12T21:17:18","date_gmt":"2015-10-12T21:17:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/?p=14140"},"modified":"2015-10-12T21:17:18","modified_gmt":"2015-10-12T21:17:18","slug":"fantasy-island-is-getting-the-reboot-treatment-from-abc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/12\/fantasy-island-is-getting-the-reboot-treatment-from-abc\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Fantasy Island\u2019 is Getting the Reboot Treatment from ABC"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start --><p>For those of you who spent your childhood entranced by the weekly transportation to <em>Fantasy Island &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>the magical enclave overseen by the mysterious Mr. Roarke, played to perfection by the late actor Ricardo Montalban and his diligent sidekick Tattoo (Herve Villechaize) who famously announced the elaborate arrival of the selected guests \u2013 you will get another chance to share your childhood treat with a new generation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fantasy-island.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14141\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fantasy-island.jpg\" alt=\"fantasy-island\" width=\"618\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fantasy-island.jpg 618w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fantasy-island-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>ABC has confirmed that they are rebooting their once hit show that enjoyed a successful run from 1977 to 1984 and this time it will center on the propelling antics of a very appealing and intelligent woman who heads a company based in San Francisco that caters to the whimsical needs of clients \u2013 without censorship.<\/p>\n<p>This interesting update might be in response to ABC\u2019s last effort to revive the series with Malcolm McDowell back in 1998. That attempt proved to be disastrous and the show was cancelled after only one season<\/p>\n<p>This project is still in the development stage and the script order status somewhat solidifies the fact that it will see the light of day. Casting announcements should be made pretty soon.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime we can\u2019t wait to see how this shapes up in the weeks ahead.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- google_ad_section_end
