Cyrus accused Minaj of not having \u201can open heart\u201d and being somewhat of a troublemaker in her dealings with &#8220;America\u2019s Sweetheart&#8221; \u2013 Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rapper-Nicki-Minaj-arrives-at-the-57th-annual-Grammy-Awards.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14111\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rapper-Nicki-Minaj-arrives-at-the-57th-annual-Grammy-Awards.jpg\" alt=\"Rapper-Nicki-Minaj-arrives-at-the-57th-annual-Grammy-Awards\" width=\"386\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rapper-Nicki-Minaj-arrives-at-the-57th-annual-Grammy-Awards.jpg 386w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rapper-Nicki-Minaj-arrives-at-the-57th-annual-Grammy-Awards-300x373.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Minaj of course didn\u2019t allow the glow of her win blind her from holding the show\u2019s hostess accountable for inserting herself where she didn\u2019t belong. So she proceeded to use her acceptance speech as a launching pad for what has become one of the most cringe-worthy moments on TV. The <em>Anaconda<\/em> singer faced Cyrus as she held her award and basically let it rip \u2013 \u201cThis bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what\u2019s good?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cyrus obviously caught off guard tried to diffuse the situation by accusing the media of manipulating her words and assuring Minaj that she is happy to remain neutrally supportive. But months later \u2013 it is clear that Nicki Minaj isn\u2019t swayed by the white flag Cyrus was waving on the stage that night.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Nicki Minaj Calls Out Miley Cyrus At The MTV VMAs (VIDEO) | Hollywire\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iJrj7IkDTeo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While being interviewed by Vanessa Grigoriadis of The New York Times \u2013 Minaj was confronted with the incident again and this time she delved deeper into the reason why she was offended by Cyrus\u2019 unwarranted comments:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You\u2019re in videos with black men, and you\u2019re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don\u2019t want to know how black women feel about something that\u2019s so important? Come on, you can\u2019t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn\u2019t <em>not<\/em> want to know that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She went on to vent about the fact that despite black women being the anchors of pop culture \u2013 they rarely ever get recognized for their contributions. There were also references to her upbringing and body image and other standard fare.<\/p>\n<p>But things took a nosedive when she was asked about the feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman who happen to also operate under her label.<\/p>\n<p>Minaj answered the initial question calmly but when pressed for more \u2013 she promptly ended the interview and questioned why Grigoria insisted on \u201cputting her down\u201d by asking \u201cstupid questions\u201d that were obviously \u201cpremeditated\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ouch! But it didn\u2019t\u2019 t end there. As Minaj made her swift exit, she called Grigoriadis a \u201ctroublemaker\u201d and finally shut it down with \u201cDo not speak to me like I\u2019m stupid or beneath you in any way.
