Less than a week after dazzling her fans including the legendary Julie Andrews<\/strong> with her impeccable performance during the The Sound of Music<\/em> tribute at the Oscars, Lady Gaga<\/strong> is making headlines again due to the confirmation by The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> <\/a>that the singer has been added to the cast of FX’s<\/em> rotational series, American Horror Story.<\/em>

Creators Ryan Murphy<\/strong> and Brad Falchuk<\/strong> have managed to convince an impressive lineup of actresses including Jessica Lange<\/strong>, who may not be returning to reprise her role for the upcoming fifth season, Kathy Bates<\/strong>, and Angela Bassett<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Not much has been divulged about the role except that Gaga whose birth name is Stefani<\/strong> Joanne Angelina Germanotta<\/strong> will be a series regular which marks her first official foray into scripted television.<\/p>\n

The singer has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Murphy who is clearly a loyal fan based on the fact that he devoted an entire episode of Glee<\/em> honoring Gaga\u2019s most prized tunes, including \u201cBad Romance\u201d, \u201cTelephone\u201d, and \u201cBorn This Way\u201d.<\/p>\n

It seems it\u2019s time for her to return the favor, as she preps for her acting debut and continues to enjoy the success of her stint at the Oscars as well as her recent engagement to actor and model Taylor Kinney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
