Classics like <em>Annie Hall,<\/em>\u00a0<em>Manhattan,<\/em> <em>Hannah and Her Sisters<\/em>, and <em>Crimes and Misdemeanors<\/em> have virtually shaped the trajectory for future filmmakers who can only dream of matching Allen&#8217;s particular brand of delivery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/woody-allen.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13414\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/woody-allen.jpg\" alt=\"woody-allen\" width=\"356\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/woody-allen.jpg 356w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/woody-allen-300x404.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Despite battling serious allegations of sexual assault stemming from his daughter which posed for an awkward time at last year\u2019s Golden Globes when longtime friend and collaborator, Diane Keaton accepted the lifetime achievement award on his behalf and seized the opportunity to praise the absent recipient.<\/p>\n<p>But it looks like Allen has managed to survive the hump and is moving on to greener pastures thanks a new ambitious project that quite frankly seems rather unexpected for the otherwise sedate thespian.<\/p>\n<p>Allen will write and direct a half-hour TV series for <strong>Amazon<\/strong> that will be slated for <b>Amazon Prime<\/b>\u00a0There is no title yet and the cast hasn\u2019t been announced but the deal is official and Roy Price, Vice President of <strong>Amazon Studios<\/strong>\u00a0released a statement to sum up the exciting new venture, \u201cWoody Allen is a visionary creator who has made some of the greatest films of all time, and it\u2019s an honor to be working with him on his first television series\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to watch how the famed director will orchestrate his transition to the small screen \u2013 hopefully he will carryover his innate ability to produce endearingly timeless characters.<\/p>\n<p>But Allen is wading into this new territory placidly \u2013 as evident in his response, \u201cI don\u2019t know how I got to into this. I have no ideas and I\u2019m not sure where to begin.
