The film which will be directed by <strong>Mira Nair<\/strong> (<em>Mississippi Masala<\/em>), is being resurrected from an article that appeared in an <em>ESPN Magazine<\/em> and also the book by <strong>Tim<\/strong> <strong>Crothers<\/strong> \u2013 <em>The Queen of Katwe: A Story of Life, Chess, and One Extraordinary Girl\u2019s Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster<\/em>, which was published in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Oyelowo is currently being feted by the chimes of award season for his critically acclaimed portrayal as <strong>Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.<\/strong> in <strong>Ava DuVernay&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0<em>Selma<\/em>, while Nyong\u2019o is hard at work in the upcoming <em>Star Wars: Episode VII \u2013 The Force Awakens<\/em>.
