Oprah\u2019s reasons are pretty self-explanatory.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>And<strong> Ava DuVernay<\/strong>, who garnered an impressive roster of affirmations thanks to her feature film <em>Middle of Nowhere<\/em>, which marked her as the first African-American woman to win the Best Director prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival will be helming this ambitious venture.<\/p>\n<p>Ava DuVernay<a href=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ava-duvernay.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12583\" alt=\"ava-duvernay\" src=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ava-duvernay.jpg\" width=\"599\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ava-duvernay.jpg 599w, http:\/\/mytrendybuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ava-duvernay-300x185.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now that all the major players have been lined up, casting is currently underway, with <strong>David Oyelowo<\/strong>, nabbing top honors as <strong>Martin Luther King Jr<\/strong>. and veteran British actor <strong>Tom Wilkinson<\/strong> in talks to portray <strong>President Lyndon B.
