Trendy Film Report: Naomi Watts Morphs into Princess Diana

Actress Naomi Watts is currently in London shooting Caught in Flight, a biopic about England’s dearly departed Princes Diana, who tragically died in 1997 at the age of 36 after a horrific car crash in Paris.

Watts certainly fits the bill and will hopefully bring the same level of dignity and dedication that she typically bequeaths to all the roles she embodies.

Caught in Flight will focus on the life Diana embraced after the devastating divorce from Prince Charles, when she was just hitting her stride and embarking on a path of self-discovery. It was a period when the once troubled Princess finally came into her own and utilized her humanitarian tendencies to uplift the global causes close to her heart. Her romantic entanglements also made headlines particularly her last controversial liaison with international playboy Dodi Fayed who also perished with her on that fateful summer night.

How far the envelope is pushed remains to be seen, but any project that captures the charisma and blinding beauty of the late Princess is bound to be a certifiable hit.
