Trendy Fashion Report: Face Africa Partners with DNKY

It may have been a stormy forecast, but last Friday, the DKNY store on Madison Avenue  had a rather sunny disposition. The Sip N Shop event was the perfect way to end a typically demanding workweek.

The crowd was a delightful mix of professionals, models and creative types, all bonding over champagne and cool vibes, supplied by DJ VA$HTIE. It was definitely a soulful event thanks to Face Africa founder and host of the evening, Saran Karan Jones.

Jones, who is based in Massachusetts, launched Face Africa 3 years ago to sound the alarm on the water crisis in her native Liberia. Through her non-profit organization, she is able to fund and install various initiatives that aim to provide constant clean water under hygienic conditions for the surrounding towns.

There is nothing better than shopping for a cause especially when some of the proceeds could improve the quality of life for a vast community.
