Despite the relentless downpour, the Diamond Jubilee celebration on the historic River Thames went on without a hitch.

Perhaps it was the gray disposition but whatever the reason the Royal family dazzled under the pressure in their respective getups.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge didn’t disappoint and re-assumed their position as one of the most glamorous couples in the world. Kate Middleton stunned in a deliciously red Alexander McQueen dress and appropriately nude colored heels.

Pippa Middleton held court with her parents and brother James, and looked simplistically delightful in a navy and cream Orla Kiely number.

The Royal sisters, Beatrice and Eugenie both chose vibrant colors and eye-popping headgear to celebrate their grandmother’s significant milestone.

But nobody could steal the spotlight away from the star of the day! The Queen looked incredibly composed and radiant for an 86 year old, and it wasn’t just because she has had at sixty years of practice. Her silver and ivory confection, whipped up by her longtime dressmaker Angela Kelly, was the perfect suit of armor against the stubborn elements that almost threatened her special day.
