Cannes 2012 is the party town of the moment, littered with streams of celebrities, socialites and the privileged.
Last night provided another good reason for the stars to sparkle and prance around, thanks to the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala that took place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes.
It was a suave affair that inspired not only a slew of stunning gowns and workmanship, but also managed to raise $11 million, which will be applied towards AIDS research. Everyone’s efforts obviously paid off in a big way; Karl Lagerfeld actually seized the opportunity to put himself on the auction block by pledging to direct a film with himself in the lead role, produced by none other than Harvey Weinstein!
Its always awesome to watch the rich and famous revel in their good fortune while also catering to dire global issues.
