Adele Celebrates Birthday And A Rack of Other Milestones

British crooner Adele turns 24 today and she has certainly accumulated enough accolades to last her a lifetime.

This past week she made headlines when it was determined that her album 21, had surpassed Michael Jackson’s 1982 blockbuster Thriller to become the fifth bestselling album of all time in the U.K.

She is in great company when it comes to shattering records and topping the charts, both Oasis and ABBA are trailblazers in this territory. But she still hasn’t quite caught up to the record-breaking achievements of The Beatles or Queen who both occupy the top spots and are undisputed champions in the billboard sales arena.

Nevertheless, Adele has more than enough time to set world records but until the then, we will settle for her soothing magnetic chords that seem to always deliver the right notes in a way that leaves us panting for more.
